Параметрические характеристики предметных имен (чешско-русское сопоставление)

Nouns denoting physical objects in Czech and Russian are above all associated with characteristics such as size, colour and shape. In keeping with the cognitive trends in linguistics, the paper focuses on two of those characteristics which are closely connected: size and shape. The corpus of lexical items is selected in such a way as to represent the various characteristic types and to facilitate the contrastive analysis of the two languages.
