Lexically, introductory conjunctions are pointed out with their semantic and stylistic differentiatedness. The formal organization of the complex compound sentence with a subordinate clause of realizable condition justifies the reasons for the positioning of the subordinate clause. Their use is influenced by the transfer of an unreal cause-effect link (A) to the present/future or (B) to the past. Whereas in German (as is well-known) both in (A) and in (B) the same conjunctive form different for (A) and (B) is used in the main and in the subordinate clause, with the exception of a case not studied so far in the literature in Bulgarian in the main and in the subordinate clause different tense forms of the indicative mood are used, except in cases when both verb forms are substituted by the conditional mood. In the main clause in Bulgarian, however, no difference is made between (A) and (B), i. e. one and the same tense form is used. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 17 %P 17–23 %G bul %N 1 %0 Journal Article %J Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %D 1990 %T Глаголни комбинации в сложни със70 тавни изречения с подчинено за осъществено условие в българския и немския език %A Мечкова-Атанасова, Здравка %X The article discusses compound sentences with a subordinate clause of realized condition whereby realized condition is understood also as a condition the future realization of which is certain according to the speaker. The analysis is carried out on the semantic, lexicosyntactic and structural-syntactic levels. As an objectively existing cause-effect relation can be linguistically expressed in terms of both the cause and effect, in many cases the types of sentences under discussion can be transformed into complex sentences with a subordinate clause of cause. The conditions under which such a transformation would be possible are given in the article. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 13 %P 16–22 %G bul %N 2 %0 Journal Article %J Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %D 1987 %T Бележки на говорещото лице, формулирани като условни, в немския и българския език %A Мечкова-Атанасова, Здравка %X The class of the conditional clauses is not as uniform as other clause-adjunct classes, those of time or place, for example. It comprises a number of sub-types such as true conditionals, in which the fulfilment of the event in the apodosis is really dependent on the condition in the protasis, or conditionals only by form. The formally conditional sentences can in turn be further subdivided. This paper is concerned with a sub-type of the formally conditional sentences in German and Bulgarian, in particular, those in which the conditional form serves to tone down or ‘hedge’ the Speaker’s comment on what is expressed in the main clause. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 12 %P 5–8 %G bul %N 3
