It claims that in the past tenses the meaning of the Greek verbal stem is more temporal and modal and less aspectual, while in the future tense, in the imperative and in subjunctive constructions it shows a considerable semantic symmetry with Bulgarian and Northern Slavic verbal aspect. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 28 %P 36–46 %G bul %N 3 %0 Journal Article %J Palaeobulgarica / Старобългаристика %D 1999 %T Възможни старобългарски свидетелства за древни значения на индоевропейския винителен падеж %A Гешев, Валентин %B Palaeobulgarica / Старобългаристика %V 23 %P 96–103 %N 4 %0 Journal Article %J Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Conrastive linguistics %D 1993 %T Промените в една частна синтактична система в славянските езици %A Гешев, Валентин %X The article sets out to identify certain mechanisms of structural change in the syntactic configuration of the object noun phrase in predicates with the meaning of ‘to look like’, ‘be similar to’ in the Slavic languages. In that the author has sought to establish the relation between the syntactic changes in the noun phrase and the semantic changes in the specific predicative lexemes, with an emphasis on etymology. The role of predicates meaning movement, as well as of the syntax of the object noun phrases in the syntactic system under discussion is also touched upon; attention is focused on its state at an earlier stage in the development of Bulgarian. The South and East Slavic origin of the object construction in Modern Bulgarian and the absence of an explicit influence of the language context in the Balkans upon the above predicates are shown. Brief mention is made of an Indo-European retrospective view on the constructions and of regional typological and genetic parallels and mutual influences among remotely related languages. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Conrastive linguistics %V 18 %P 16–20 %G bul %N 5 %0 Journal Article %J Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %D 1989 %T Х международен конгрес на славистите (София, 14–22.IX.1988) %A Трифонова, Йорданка %A Гешев, Валентин %A Ангелова, Искра %A Бояджиева, Елисавета %A Милева, Виолета %A Малджиева, Вяра %A Виларова, Маргарита %A Михалик, Ришард %K Events %K Хроника %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 14 %P 113–128 %G bul %N 4
