Two stages of interaction are pointed out an early stage (9th –10th c.) during which Old Bulgarian actually played the role of a literary language in the West Slavonic countries too, and a late stage (13th–15 th c.), when the West Slavonic languages were formed and developed. During the second stage Old Bulgarian was of little influence – there are only traces or reminiscences mainly in the vocabulary. However, during this period Old Bulgarian was of importance as a language ideology; the fact that there existed old translations in a Slavonic language justified the translation of biblical books into Old Czech and Old Polish. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 6 %P 35–41 %G bul %N 3–5 %0 Journal Article %J Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %D 1979 %T Към съпоставителната характеристика на старобелоруския и среднобългарския език %A Буюклиев, Иван %X The comparison of the Old Bulgarian and the Old Byelorussian declensions is highly indicative of Middle Bulgarian. A lot of phenomena characteristic of Middle Bulgarian in the period 12th–14th c. have their parallels in Old Byelorussian. The similarity between the two languages is manifested not only in the general trends of development but in a number of details as well. The picture is incomplete as a number of characteristics of Old Byelorussian, concerning other cases not treated in Middle Bulgarian, have remained outside the scope of this study. The comparison substantiates the claim that in the development of the Bulgarian declension system until 14th c. new processes of a syntactic direction took place; under certain conditions they might have resulted in a new type of declension as in the other Slavic languages. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 4 %P 37–46 %G bul %N 2 %0 Journal Article %J Palaeobulgarica / Старобългаристика %D 1978 %T Бохуслав Хaвранек (1893–1978) %A Буюклиев, Иван %K Bohuslav Havránek %K in honorem %K Бохуслав Хaвранек %K в чест %B Palaeobulgarica / Старобългаристика %V 2 %P 93–96 %G bul %N 4 %0 Journal Article %J Palaeobulgarica / Старобългаристика %D 1977 %T Новое советское исследование, посвященное текстологии древнейших славянских письменных памятников %A Буюклиев, Иван %K reviews %K text history %K рецензии %K тексreviews %B Palaeobulgarica / Старобългаристика %V 1 %P 103–106 %G rus %N 3 %0 Journal Article %J Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %D 1976 %T Из историята на относителното подчинение в белоруски и български %A Буюклиев, Иван %X The article deals with relative clause subordination in Byelorussian and Bulgarian. Irrespective of the fact that relative subordination in these two languages is characterized by the existence of well-defined types of connections, the detailed contrastive analysis can contribute to the elucidation of some problems of the general Slavic tendencies. These tendencies show different intensity in different areas and, in spite of the individual peculiarities of the processes, lead ultimately to similar results. In this connection it is relevant to quote N. van Wijk’s words: „chaque langue détachée du tronc slave a transformé à sa façon le patrimoine commun“. %B Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics %V 1 %P 96–104 %G bul %N 5
