A contrastive analysis is made with Czech, where the Czech verb m{\'\i}t {\textquoteleft}have{\textquoteright}, preserving its {\quotedblbase}semantic modification{\textquotedblleft}, i. e. a definite degree of possession, exists as a variant of the verb byt in the function of a copula. The limited use of the copulative имам in Bulgarian is emphasized and the verb is treated in terms of a copula when it{\textquoteright}s natural or given possessive relation to the subject results directly from the referent itself.}, author = {Цанева, Нина} }
